Get Down! Workshop: Tools for Polite Greetings

Dogs must be comfortable working alongside other teams in close proximity.

WHEN & WHERE
Varies. Click here for upcoming schedule.

ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
How many times have you said “get down!” to your pup as they enthusiastically greeted your guest? This scenario can go a couple different ways:

  1. The guest is a self-proclaimed dog person and they love all over your dog sending them into a frenzy of over-arousal and excitement that can spiral out of control quickly, or
  2. The guest is NOT a dog person and your dog knows this, therefore making it their personal mission to win said guest over for the duration of their visit.

Does any of that sound familiar? We’re here to help you! Get help teaching your dog how to greet people in a more human-appropriate way. Come practice some skills at our workshop in preparation for having guests over!

Success at the Vet Workshop Series: Preparing for Your Visit + Skills You Didn’t Know You Needed | PRE-RECORDED

$65

WHO THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR
Those struggling with their dogs during vet visits.

WHEN & WHERE
Pre-recorded. Click button below to purchase recordings.

WHAT
This is a two-part, pre-recorded workshop series. In the first part, learn how to reduce stress and set your dog up to be more successful at the veterinary office, or other places where handling and examinations are required. We cover reducing stress, preparing through practice and planning, bite prevention, handling strategies and more.

The second workshop recording is about thoughtfully crafting games to help build trust, and necessary aspects of restraining dogs. Whether it’s holding for safety, picking dogs up, or adding pressure so we can get basic grooming needs met, there are just some situations we find we need to restrain our dogs for.

We cover topics such as proper body restraint for blood draws, paw holding for nail trims, and muzzle foundations to help keep everyone safe, also understanding when to push and when to step back.
