WHAT

Agility Fundamentals 2

WHAT
In this class, we’ll build on your skills from Agility Fundamentals 1. We will start to work on all the equipment: tunnels, contact obstacles, jumps and weave poles. This builds confidence and creates a fun new way for you to interact and play with your dog.
Our focus will be beginning sequencing and handling. The goal is to create teamwork between you and your dog, which is useful on and off the agility field. We will advance skills and increase challenges as you build upon your foundational skills.
Prerequisite: Agility Fundamentals 1

Agility Masters Program
Four Weeks, Ongoing

WHO THIS CLASS IS FOR (Prerequisites)
Dogs who have completed Agility Fundamentals or have instructor approval.
WHEN
Schedule varies, but usually Sunday mornings.

WHAT
Building on your skills from your Agility Fundamentals classes, we will add Contact Training and Tunnel Work. We’ll also focus on building body awareness and footwork skills, beginning handling techniques, turns and recalls to heel position. We’ll add jumping skills and weaves for dogs over 18 months old.
Prerequisite: Agility Fundamentals 2 or instructor approval.
Scent Work Fundamentals Class
Six Weeks

WHAT
Introduce your dog to the world of scent work. This introductory class will lay out the foundation you and your dog need to use the dog’s nose to hunt for target odor. We will focus on developing your dog’s hunting skills, build confidence and desire for the game. You will observe the dog’s body language, hone handling skills and gain knowledge to narrow what it is that you would like to have your dog hunt for. Your team will be well prepared to move forward in scent related dog sport of your dreams!
This class is the prerequisite for Truffle Training and ongoing Scent Work classes.

WHAT
Looking for something fun to do with your pup but are not sure which sport you both may like? Through sampling four different sports, you will get to see which sport might be a good fit for your dog and their skills. Besides, having your dog try new things can be an enriching experience, and you will learn what each sport would be like for the human, as well.
We will feature a new sport each week for 4 weeks! The sports may include: Treibball, Barn Hunt, Outdoor Scent Work, Rally-O, Agility, AKC style Nose work and more!
